Only issue I had when buying tickets (online) was mine was a round-trip and my wife (then fiancee) was one-way so I had to call the airline directly to get both purchased at the same time. After that it was simple.

Round trip tickets are not required and I checked before booking and found RT ticks much more than one way. The RT may have been cheaper awhile ago but I didn't find one example of that. PS. Manila to USA with United airlines was the best price I could find at $680

That is too pricey, I think. Is that for one ticket? You can get around $600 to $700 for the first week of December.

Are there any restrictions as to purchasing plane tickets for my fiancée?

Any pointers, suggestions are appreciated as always. Thanks.

From the Philippines, there are special fares that many travel agents offer in Manila for first time immigrant fares to the U.S. You can get a great deal on a one way by going this route. This is how my wife and son came to the states. Her fare was about $630, MNL-->SFO.
