Potentially Fatal ‘Knockout’ Game Targeting Strangers May be Spreading

Just to refresh some people on the story.

The first time TM became aware of GZ was early in the call. GZ says he was staring at thim. TM also walked by his vehicle. ( This would have been a perfect time for GZ to roll down his window and ask TM what he was doing. TM could have said he was going back to his dad's house, GZ offers him a ride, and VJ has nothing to talk about. )

Eventually, TM starts running and GZ does get out and chase him. And when the dispatcher tells him they don't need him to do that, he replies "okay", and starts discussing where he will meet the police. At this time, GZ has no idea where TM is. TM is the one who comes back and confronts GZ.

So, yes, GZ did chase TM. Yes, GZ could have made different choices, approached TM in a different manner, and not contributed to the stressful situation. And, most importantly, yes TM did come back and confront GZ.

Now could we please go back and talk about ACA.

And that's the rest of the story. GZ had many chances to defuse the situation, but chose not to. He got out of his car to chase him, which wasn't wise in any capacity since there was no crime being committed nor was anyone in danger. If TM came back to confront him, it wasn't the smartest thing to do since he had no clue what he was up against.

As for as who confronted who, you have two different versions. The friend who testified on the stand, and GZ's version.
