Hi there, this is my first time posting here, just hoping someone can help me out regarding our choice of wedding location and if this will affect Visa.

So myself and my Fiance who is a us citizen are engaged to be married. We have filled out the whole initial application and are about to send it off. I read in supporting documentation that if you intend to leave the us at any time you need to apply for an amnesty. Basically we want to get married in the us virgin Islands after i land on the US mainland.

Does the US Virgin Islands count as us territory and if we get married here will it affect my return to the mainland with my then wife?

If you go there you must not visit any NON US territory , take flights with no stops in non US territory ( even before you get on the plane) and hope the plane isn't diverted to a non US territory . A bit too risky for my taste

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

So as long as we fly direct to the Virgin Islands and then return Direct to the mainland we are fine?
