I'm not sure if you have the Fairies books over in USA but here in UK they are pretty big. All the fairies are names of weather, days, months, seaons, etc etc and my Grandaugher Eleanor wanted me make her the 7 Rainbow Fairies for her bithday cake. Each one is the colour of the rainbow and their names are, Ruby, Indigo, Amber, Fern, Saffron, Heather and Star.

I just wanted to share the photo with you all - still cant get over the fact that I can actully make these!!! The fairies stand at approx 3 and 1/2" high and 3 inches wide.

Latest steps:

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/02/2007- Interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a 221(g)

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/01/2007- Evidence sent

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!

02/07/2007- Envelope received!!!

02/10/2007- Flew to the USA!!!!!!

04/17/2007- Wedding day!!!

Are those the fairy books by Daisy Meadows? If so, they're definitely available in the US - my fiance's 9 year old daughter is obsessed with them and carries the whole set with her everywhere she goes! :D

The cake looks amazing - I'm so impressed by people who can do that. Oh, and happy birthday to your granddaughter... she will love it! :star:

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

Thanks :thumbs: but they are not edible. They are made with fimo and baked in the oven - lot better than sugar or dough as they last a lifetime.

Fimo's a kind of plasticky modelling clay (comes in every colour you can imagine) that you can bake in the oven so it sets hard... it's fantastic stuff, I used to love it when I was a kid, didn't realise you could still get it.

He will be admitted tomorrow Michelle and then operated on Tuesday :blink:

We are both nervous as anything but it needs to be done. I will let you know sometime next week how it all went (he will be in intensive care for a week they told us) and he will not be woken up for 24 to 48 hours so will be oblivious to me being there!
