Husband denied under 221g, CO said husband didn't convinced her of bonafide relationship

Damn Sanlot so sorry.

Can I ask did you guys have alot of evidence submitted in your petition?

Was it you feel just how your husband presented answers? Was he query on a certain subject more than others?

How about red flags?

Your visits and duration?

Don' lose hope. Its just a delay. A bit longer to bring him home, but he will come home okay.

Sorry to hear this. This is not the end and just means that your path is going to be a little longer than you planned for.

Read and follow DWheels advice and instruction.

You are going to be upset and depressed but then you'll get out of it and then watch out world.

Grill your Husband for the specifics of the interview, start collecting evidences for a rebutal as I understand that you will be getting a NOID/NOIR and will have a short term to respond to it.

There are still some $900 tickets on United, go back home and get closer to your Husband and generate more evidence.

am realy so sorry to hear this, but like what everyone is saying it's just a delay not an out right denial ok, so just be strong for yourself and ur wife

now comming to what I want to ask concerning more evidence

first my wife can't take another trip to come and see me bcos of her job and a 9 yrs old son that is alejic to many thing bcos her first trip to and see me, it's was that easy for her son and comming back to find another job wasn't that easy for, so the ideai of comming again to make the relationship more bonifade, I don't know, but the time she spent with me here in African was 6 weeks .

so aside this what other thing can one do to prove or show the CO that this is real?

What evidence did you load in with the DS-230 submittal into NVC ?

am realy so sorry to hear this, but like what everyone is saying it's just a delay not an out right denial ok, so just be strong for yourself and ur wife

I not read of the CO asking for more evidence,

I read of a denial based on 'not a bonafide relationship'

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

6 weeks is good but how long since last time you say each other?

And with sons allergies just get a doctors note notarized that he can't travel to have at interview.

But 6 weeks is good. Thats all you can do thats your #1 evidence. The rest is up to you and how you present yourself and answer the CO's questions. Some people don't interview well and can't answer the basic questions and many times thats what makes the CO say not bonafide. Really be confident and prepared at interview

I'm sorry about your denial... sounds but not definite by it may be in the interview itself. Does he remember the questions? Make sure he is objective when giving you the information. Sometimes Nigerians think just because someone isn't immediately aggressive with them things are going well. Nodding ones head is a typical response interviewers have. LIke everyone says there is still hope.

His Mom and older Brother are in Ghana?

Does he have legal right to be in Ghana?

It is my opinion that the COs make up their minds already before the interview starts. The interview is still crucial as it validate what the CO feels by looking at the paperwork previously.

I don't think them visiting each other in Ghana and not Nigeria could be the reason...at least I hope not, considering my wife and I have been living in Ghana on and off (mostly on) for the last four years. Nigeria is not the safest place for her to be unfortunately. It's very possible his relatives could've come to Ghana, my own have been here several times. ABC bus is readily available daily. Six years age difference doesn't seem bad at all, especially since petitioner is still in her thirties. Sounds like a lot of evidence was provided, a lot of face time. Can they really deny just from having a bad interview? sounds crazy and scary!

If you have a chance read this thread

http://www.nairaland.com/1359935/u.s-consular-officer-ask-me

Read all the pages.

None of us here knows why the CO felt not enough evidence was presented. Even folks that not only visited Nigeria but lived there for extended period with the families were sometimes denied.

My task is to ask questions so OP can look at things from many different angles.

Because they're crazy that's why. And because they don't have to give a reason why they don't think the relationship isn't bonafide (ex. Not enough face time, or lacked general knowledge of their fiancee/spouse, something like that).

Sanlot,

Try sending an email to the attention of the IV Chief requesting a second interview or a chance to answer any questions or see what can be done to override the CO's decision or to find out why the CO wasnt convinced. Hopefully they will reconsider the application before they send it back to USCIS.

His family dont live in Ghana they came there for the wedding.we choose Ghana because it much safer and i was concern about going to Nigeria base on what I read on travelstate.gov.

Both he and i was legal there.

Reason y he thought it was a good interview the officer kept nodding her head and saying good good, commenting on pictures-this beach is nice where did u take this one.only to denied him in the end.he said the question was simple

I really didnt see this coming this is our first marriage for both of us or maybe am missing something....
