my mother abandoned her residency and right now my father is trying to add her to his pension plan

at the embassy of my home country, they said that if you are not GC holder or citizen so you will not able to be part of pension plan. the government will take his money

he need to submit abandonment form for you then he will fill new petition for you it will take about 6 months

what do you think about what she do?

To make sure I understand, your mother and father are both greencard holders, your mom went back home and stayed over a year, so she lost her greencard?

Yes, your dad can re-petition your mom, it will take closer to a year than 6 months. However, this will only work if your mom plans to move back to the USA permanently. She cannot just get a new greencard and stay in her home country, using a pension plan for greencard holders- if she is not yet ready to move back, your dad should wait to petition her until she is ready.

Is this a work pension plan or social security? What country is your mom from?

For social security, a foreign spouse must meet certain requirements to get benefits. In addition, there are limits depending on your mother's country of residence.

Actually, my dad became US citizen. my mother was GC holder but she returned back her home country. So you consider her that she abandoned her case and she has her old GC with her.

My father filled twice I-130 file but in both cases they denied her case. right now my father is trying to add my mom to his work pension.

Any advice about what we should do ?

filling again or submitting her old card or what?

Also can you tell me difference between social security number and work pension? benefits of each one?

Why did they deny the two cases?

If she's been out over a year, submitting the old card won't do anything, you have been told that in other threads. Asking again won;t change the answer.

A social security number is just a number, it doesn't mean you get any money. Work pensions vary greatly, your dad would need to enquire from his pension company if they will send money abroad.

You need to tell us more about this "work pension."

Is it an employer pension plan or social security benefits?

There is no reason to give you a long post on the merits and difference between the two because that would not answer your question on how to add your mom.

If you can't tell us what this "work pension" is, then there is no way to help you.
