1. At her embassy interview in Manila, the consular officer would have kept her original birth certificate.

2. She didn't need to bring more than one original birth certificate with her to the U.S.

No, I know you have an obsession about how many copies of the NSO birth certificate a person brings to the USA with them, any time someone posts suggesting a quantity larger then your opinion you chime in..... for sure nothing more.

As for me, I never claimed they needed a certain number of copies... I merely suggest that they bring extras.. they are cheap and easy to acquire while in the Philippines.

Your honey wasn't asked to submit her birth certificate at her POE. She submitted her visa packet, which had her birth certificate inside. See the difference?

If she had followed my advice and brought an original with her, you would have saved a C-note.

Hank had his wife bring six original birth certificates with her, five of which were an unnecessary expense, and they're all still sitting there gathering dust while he pretends that they may be needed some day.
