Workload Transfer, what is the best thing to do? (I-130 for my Mom)

I found out about the USCIS workload, I filled my mom's petition on May 21st and it's been 5 months now.

I was planning to expedite the petition due of my daughter's autism diagnosis. I left my job to stay home for my daughter's in-home ABA therapy. We are having tight budget but not extreme finacial lost so I decided to wait.

I checked the status online but still not even touch, do you think that it's advisable to seek for our congressman or senator's help while it's not yet touch or transfer? Or it's better to wait until they transfer my case?

I am sure you can make a call to you congressman or senator and I hope they can help. As of now they are transferring February filers so far I still have not received anything yet because my priority date is March 4. Been on a waiting game since then. I really hope for you daughter's sake that it gets expedited, Goodluck kabayan.

ask help for senator and congressman.. that's what i did for my mom.

i am still waiting for the case complete.. hope we can get an early interview.. hopefully she will be here before thanksgiving or xmas-

Hi, thanks... I was reading your signature/timeline yesterday and that encouraged me to seek for advise. Do you think that 5 months is enough to contact the senator? What exactly I will tell?

I suggest you find out exactly where the casefile is -

ie - still at MSC or

it's at a local office.

here's the trick questions to use, with an ISO, a Tier 2 human (not the csr that first answers the phone)

1. what date was the casefile transferred to the local office?

2. which local office is it?

----

then, if it's really at a local office, you might get some juice this week and next, as the local offices are trying really hard to adjudicate I-130s sent to them by MSC before 31 October.

sure - you can contact a congressman's office, ask to speak with the immigration liason staffer human there. you'll need to send out a privacy-release form, these are usually sitting on that congressman's website, ready for you to download and fill out.

Sad to say it's in initial review... Never touch in 5 months. So it's better to wait first until they touch it or can I contact the congressman's office as soon as possible for their help to move it forward? I think Feb and Mar fillers are in process for transferring.

Just ask if they can help u to update your case.. mine i did even not 6 months. check my timeline

By the way, do you know if my mom will be automatic permanent resident .She's 58 yrs old.

Thanks for the info, still discerning if I will contact first the senator so they will ask for the update or to call the USCIS first and ask where is it.

I asked my husband (Union Representative) to ask the help of his co-worker/ political organizer who has direct contact to our senator so they will really work for an update to my case.

If I decide to call first, is this the number 1-800-375-5283 and will ask those info that you provided above.

It's automatic that she will be a green card holder, right? As soon as she's here can my mom petition her unmarrried children over 21 yrs old? How long is the waiting period? Her unmarried child over 21 yrs old has a 5 yo child.
