Hello to everyone..

We received our NOA2 on on 9th of October saying that our visa documents are transferred to the National Visa Center, but on 15th of October we received text message saying that out case is updated, and our visa documents are sent to the Department of State. Also in USCIS our status was changed saying: we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing.

Can you share with us why this change happen, is it normal procedure and what we should expect regarding that?

Thank you in advance

Odd update status, but the NVC Is DoS so I think your case is fine and still going to the NVC before being sent to your consulate.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to National Visa Center- topic is about NVC/DoS ~

I've got same case update status:

Post Decision Activity

On October 17, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

I called DoS a few days ago and he- a visa specialist- asked me to wait about 6-8 weeks before asking my case #. It means that they shipped this case already and all you need is wait up to 6 weeks before call them back. I hope it helps. Good luck.
