Hello everyone. My husband submitted the I-130 packet on July 29. However we made a silly mistake and thought a marriage certificate will be enough evidence and that the pictures will be required at the interview only. Even though we had pictures of our wedding ceremony and other occasions we thought it isn't necessary to add them. My question is should I now get ready for an RFE or are there chances that it might be accepted at the USCIS and we can submit proof at the NVC stage?

I am regretting the mistake so much and fear that it will take longer because of this silly mistake :'(

Got Married :) - 24th January 2013

NOA 1- 31st July 2013

Case Transferred to CSC - 21st January 2014

NOA 2 - 31st January 2014

NVC Received - 12th February 2014

Case number, IIN, BIN Received - 21st March 2014

DS-261 Submitted - 23rd March 2014

AOS Bill Paid - 27th March 2014

E-mailed NVC to Change the Consulate of Beneficiary - 31st March 2014

IV Bill Paid - 5th April 2014

AOS Package Submitted - 7th April 2014

DS - 260 Available - 8th April 2014

Waiting for the reply from NVC before going any further :(

AOS Approved - 3rd June 2014

New Case Number Assigned - 7th June 2014

NVC Received IV Docs - 17th June 2014

Interview - 11th September 2014 (which happens to be my husband's birthday! :)) - APPROOOOOVEDDDD Alhamdulillah

Got my Passport and Sealed Packet - 16th September 2014 Alhamdulillah!!

For your sake I hope you get an RFE so you can add this evidence. You have a not so easy embassy and you needed to front-oad that petition.

It all depends on who adjudicates your petition. Some just let you through with approval long as you submitted the required paperwork. I have seen others get RFE for not having evidence of a bonafide relationship ( a marriage certificate is not).

Well if you get approval you will have a 2nd chance at NVC to load (called side-load) that evidennce up. So no worries.

Don't worry. Wedding pictures are not necessary @ USCIS stage. I sent mine in w/o pics and got approved and I have cousins that sent in the petition w/o pictures and they got approved. You might send 3-4 pictures @ NVC stage and ofcourse take different pics about 10-12 to the interview
