Seriously, if this was a left wing party of any kind doing this I'd be outraged at the sheer gall of them thinking it was a good idea to have us spiral into the unknown. The basis of the entire government is compromise and not hostage taking over of all things a health care bill that's already a law?

What is stunning to me is that the Tea Party is not some majority of Americans, but they are controlling the United States at the moment. And having lunatics in control of an entire country never turns out well.

That is what will saddle future generations not only with even more debt but it will also rob them of the resources to ever be able to pay any of it. They see themselves as founding father types reconstructing a utopia out of the ashes of the failed country. They believe they are saving the country by destroying it. Yet they don't have a f#cking clue besides their ability to disrupt processes. They couldn't build a tree house.

If that is true, then why have the Republicans already agreed to the spending levels? This isn't about whether or not the US government has money to spend or whether it must spend money - everyone agrees on that. Everyone but you who takes the most unrealistic and nonsensical of position on that. This isn't about spending money. But even if it were, this course of actions causes MORE money to be spend and MORE debt to accumulate not less. I know that that simple concept isn't sinking in with you but that is still the truth.

It's only this simple in your mind. Macroeconomics is actually quite complex. People can get PhDs in macroeconomics. No one can get a PhD in "household budgeting." They are not the same thing.
