Hi, we are preparing our G-325A forms and I have a question:

He has been a freelance construction worker for pretty much the past 10 years. Paid daily. He can remember the cities in which he has worked but he is his own employer. Some jobs lasted days, weeks or months. Not quite sure how to fill out the employment history on his form. Do I give his own name and address as the employer....OR....would it be better to just say he was unemployed?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanx

For the G-325A put Self-Employed(no address needed) and then list your occupation(if it is construction then put Construction Worker) and list the dates, MM/YYYY - Present. Why would you put Unemployed if he is not in fact unemployed?

My fiancé is self-employed/freelance also. I just put "freelance editor and cinematographer (see attached)" and we attached a copy of his translated resume. The last part may be overkill, but we got our NOA2 in 25 days.

Don't overthink it.
