I just wanted to write and say THANK YOU! To every single person who has helped us on this site through the process! 2 months ago I was firing a lawyer who tried scamming my husband and feeling like we had NO clue what to do next! This site is the best thing ever! Definitely going to tell everyone I know about it! heart.gif

Special thanks to Lost_at_Sea, Nich-Nick and Dbkrantz for putting up with my incessant questions/nagging.

It definitely wasn't as scary as I made it out to be in my head! Really nice people - checked CEAC status and it's been issued already :) So hopefully we get it by next week.

20th Aug 2013 - Orignal packet 3 sent. Never received

13th Sept 2013 - Reveived LND no via contact form. Completed DS-260 online and returned DS-2001 with covering letter

16th Sept 2013 - Medical

22nd Oct 2013 - Packet 4 sent. Never received. Received interview date via online contact form

4th Nov 2013 - Interview. Approved!

?? Nov 2013 - Passport Received

?? Nov 2013 - POE Houston

Woo hoo!! Congratulations!!!

Met in 2006 through a pen pal website for school-aged kids when we were 15!
Kept in touch a bit for 4.5 years
02-2011 -Started talking about how to make a relationship work
06-06-2011- Met in Chicago and became a couple, finally!
07-18-2011- I flew back with him to England to meet his family
11-23-2011- He stays with my family and me for three months!
05-16-2012- I flew to England to be with him for a month.
07-15-2012- He flies back to me for another 3 months
12-17-2012- I fly over to England to be with him for 5 months
04-05-2013- We took a trip to Rome, and he asks me to marry him in St. Peter's Square!!!
04-25-2013- I-129F Sent to Dallas Lockbox
05-09-2013- He comes back to visit me for nearly 2 months
07-03-2013- I go back ONE last time, while our I-129F is processing
07-17-2013- Our petition is approved only 79 days later!! kicking.gif

Pkt 3 letter arrived - 21 Sept 2013 (took bit longer because of mail redirect)
Phoned for medical appt - 23 Sept 2013
Medical - 24 Sept 2013
Pkt 3 returned - 15 October 2013 (cover letter requesting interview after 3 Dec due to travel)

Interview letter from Embassy reccd - 20 Nov 2013

Interview Date - 9 Dec 2013 - all went well

CEAC showed issued - 10 Dec

Email re courier - 12 Dec for delivery 13 Dec

(actually rescheduled delivery for 16 Dec as more convenient)

POE - fly in to Seattle 24 Dec

Congratulations!

Married a US/UK dual national in 1996 and had four children together.
Immigration Timeline: I130 Approval November 2012; Interview July 2013; Immigration October 2013. (Note, however, that we chose to stall the process for personal scheduling reasons)
As a family of six, we relocated from Argyll in Scotland to Pennsylvania in October 2013. 

I applied for Citizenship in October 2017 and am currently waiting for an Interview date.

10-1-13 - Medical : Day 2 Husband PASSED!!!
