Living in Egypt with my husband.....

I have a question would like to see if anyone can help me... I am living in Egypt with my husband and our son, my husband had his interview back in March and is still in AP. Is there anyway we can expetidite th process since we are both living here together???

From my understanding it can not be expedited once placed under AP. It is MANDATORY. Below I have posted responses I have received for The Cairo Embassy when I inquried about expediting our AP process.

Writ of Mandamus is only for USCIS usually and a very bad idea at the Department of State level. If you try to sue the State Department to make a determination on your case then they will most likely decide then and there denied for lack of ability to finish investigation. The OP has only waited since March. It's not an unreasonable length of time to wait. Writs are for YEARS of waiting.

6 plus mo of AP is getting more and more common, especially if the person has a common name by Egyptian standards. There is no way to expedite except as mentioned above and again, that is NOT a wise idea to do for reasons given.
