hi, just wanted to ask those who can shed light to my query.

my friend told me that i need police clearance to every country i have visited.

i am the benefiaciary. i am a little worried becausefor the last 3 years i have been

touring all over the globe for business and pleasure. but most of my travel is less than a month.

to give u some of those counties i have visited;

malaysia

indonesia

singapore

thailand

japan

south korea

vietnam

cambodia

australia

new zealand

dubai

nepal

saudi arabia

london

italy

greece

germany

canada

brazil

and hawaii

.

my question is: do i have to get a police clearance to all countries i have visited?

the longest i stayed was 2 weeks and thats it.

ive read in a blog that i only need a police clearance if o stayed in a country for more than

6 months. is that correct? please let me know. i will also post some other questions thats bugging me now while

waiting for my client inside a hotel lobby for almost an hour now lol.

thanks

Embassy Instructions Letter is what to follow:

h. OTHER COUNTRY POLICE CERTIFICATES. Applicants aged 16 years and older must also present police certificates from other countries where they have lived for six (6) months or more after reaching the age of 16. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained in any maiden names, aliases or nicknames used while in the country in question, including different spellings you have used of those names. Country-specific information on how to secure police certificates is available on the State Department’s website at http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_3272.html.
