NOA 2 approved NVC still hasnt received my case

Just to join in with everyone else-we received our NOA2 Aug. 12th. Still has not arrived at NVC. I've called a couple times just to get the "it's not here" / "wait 8 weeks" response, like everyone else. I was budgeting that this was going to be the speediest part of this whole process and I'm really starting to get anxious. Can you ever schedule your visa interview just with the NOA2 and before the NVC has sent it off?

No, your number changes...so the number you've used to track thus far will change to a number depending on your consulate (vanxxxxxx and possibly more x's will be mine or something along those lines since I'll be going to Vancouver)

What you can do now is gather your info. Your birth certificate. Your criminal record check. Your vaccine history/if you need any boosters/etc.

May 29, 2013 - Finally!!! I-129F and associated forms delivered!

June 3, 2013 - NOA1!

August 19, 2013 - NOA2! (email)

October 10, 2013 - NVC has our case, Vancouver number assigned

***Communications with Vancouver begging to put my case on hold a while due to house not selling!!!***

February 18, 2014 - Packet 3 Submitted

February 20, 2014 - Packet 4!!

May 5, 2014 - Medical

May 7, 2014 - Consulate Interview

May 13, 2014 - K1 visa in hand!!!

July 2, 2014 - POE (Sweetgrass)<p>

July 23, 2014 - apply for EI (mother of god that was confusing...)<p>

August 11, 2014 - finally get hitched!

September 16, 2014 - send off AOS/AP/EAD

thanks for this. its good to have visajourney and all the people waiting for their case numbers, at least were not alone. just a tiny bit more patience. we'll all get through this.

same here waiting for our case number/we got approved aug 13,2013 and got the hardcopy on the 16th of aug and until now still no case number.Lets stay positive and hope for the best to each of us waiting for our next journey:)

check out my time line, I called NVC on Sept 5 and got my MNL number. In fact, Sept 5 was the first day I called and we discovered it was the day they received the documents AND the MNL number was issued.

Docs went out DHL on the 6th and arrived in MNL today 9th.

Go ahead and call. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

Can someone provide the NVC number they are calling? And are you just giving them your USCIS receipt number to check?

wow..thAT WAS QUICK...we've received our NOA2 on the same date with you guys...so is that possible that we already have out MNL case number ?its been 13days since we're approved...

My finacee and I have numerous nervous break downs behind us.

Guys who get approved in July and have their papers alredy in their ambasy do not help us too much. And such is the case.

We filed Feb 8 2013, approved on august 12.

The cases ARE NOT processed in the order they are received.

The only remedy to all this hassle would be to force USCIS to cash our checks only after they have sent the approval to the NVC. And no one would ever say "it may take up to 8 weeks"! It would take 2 days maximum !!

Very true. If the checks are allowed to be cashed only after sending the approval to NVC, everyone will hear about their approval AND transfer on the same day.

I might as well get in on this too! We were approved (NOA2) on August 16th at the California Service Center and we are still waiting. I am seeing a trend that the CSC approvals are taking longer to get to NVC. Any one else seeing this? Good luck all! Hopefully they will get our crate to the NVC soon.

I just got off the phone with the NVC. I have called everyday this week and always the same. "We have not received your case yet" I called today and they said they received it September 16th but it has not been entered in the system yet. So this is good news. Hopefully all of you that were approved at the CSC in the middle of August are now at the NVC and just waiting to be entered in in the next few days or even today. Once they enter it in then they will assign the case number.
