Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case

We received our NPIW July 9th and since then have heard nothing but this morning my husband got 3 text messages and an email that said our I-485 is in "Initial Review." I took this as a good sign thinking maybe our application finally made it to someone's desk, but maybe it just means the USCIS is finally updating their website as before when I tried to check our case status I would get the Validation Error. Anyone else receive any updates?

The email says that we will receive our biometrics interview time, but we did that back in May.

Fingers crossed that we get the GC by Christmas. It's so frustrating because I have a friend who didn't even file I-485 until July and had her interview a few weeks ago and now has her GC. Meanwhile we filed in March and are still waiting.

We've had the same validation error since the site update. This morning we finally got the update the the fingerprint fee was accepted on April 2nd. Our waiver letter is July 10th. More waiting I suppose...

I have multiple texts and email but I think USCIS just reenters the case number back in the system due the new website.

I checked uscis website and i was able to track my case number, before it showed me validation error, now they fixed it.

where do you guys check or where does it say on new USCIS web site "card production" or "Card mailed" ?

also is there any chance to track service request confirmation number?

What does it say when you check your status?

Log in to your account and then click on the case number. The case history is near to the bottom of the page which will tell you the status of your request.

when i enter my case number and press Check status it shows me that on March the 4th my fingerprint fee was accepted.

My case is the same with 'My Fingerprint Fee was received' displayed and has been since I filed. It means your case hasn't been adjudicated or approved yet and you're still waiting to be processed. The message will change when you are approved. Good luck. What date did you get your NPIW letter?

My case is the same with 'My Fingerprint Fee was received' displayed and has been since I filed. It means your case hasn't been adjudicated or approved yet and you're still waiting to be processed. The message will change when you are approved. Good luck. What date did you get your NPIW letter?

At least some of you July letters are getting SOME movement now, I'm 29th July so I'm treating it as a good sign that you early July people are getting updates even if they are insignificant

If your case is approved/card is under production you'll see the status at the top change (the heading in blue). The old case status checker was much more intuitive in this regard. It showed a full timeline from acceptance to approval/denial, with where you were currently at highlighted in a different blue.

I'm attaching a pic of what it looks like when it is in production in the new system. I will say this, the update to the website is nice on this page in that it allows you to see all of the recent updates to your case on the left hand side.

Same thing happened to me. Also a March filer. Early this morning I got SEVEN texts and two emails from USCIS. I was excited for a second until I realised they all just say "On March 29, 2014, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485". Yeah.... thanks for that breaking news.
