That's great!!! When did NVC receive your case? I recommend reading Saylin's NVC wiki (I pinned the post in the Sept FB group). You don't have to wait weeks for the next step :-)

They said that it was entered into the computer today, but I'm not sure when they actually received it. I was so excited when they said it was entered that I didn't think to ask.

I'm stepping through the DS-261 and it's asking for an Invoice ID which is supposed to be on the instructions they provide. I guess I should have asked for it in the call. Time to go back on hold.

I just wanted to let anyone still waiting know (I guess this is directed at anyone at the VSC mostly) that I was approved 4/11. My PD is 10/1 (so I thought this might be relevant since I'm so close to September. Anyway, my case status online has never changed from initial review and I received no emails. However yesterday I received the hard copy of the approval saying I was approved on 4/11. So maybe some people are really approved and just don't know it yet. I received the letter 5 days after I was approved and I live only about 3 hours from the VSC center.

Thanks, AmberG! And CONGRATS!!!

I've hsard from a few people that they aren't receiving notifications about their NOA2. I think if people are still waiting, maybe they should call USCIS... I can't remember, but I think the automated system will tell you the status of your petiton.

Thanks :) The weirdest thing was that I actually filed a service request on Monday thinking I was actually still in Initial Review, when in fact I had already been approved the Friday before. The rep obviously had no idea I was approved either. So weird. There's something strange about the systems...to this day my online status is still Initial Review. So I'm hoping this is good news for some of the late September filers :)

Thanks! Yes, I actually think that maybe I'm not the only one who was approved and had no clue! Tomorrow it will be a week since I was approved an no case update online at all. Especially I was thinking if someone is not in the US it might take the mail a long time and the system wouldn't reflect the approval. I think someone else on October had something like this happen to them too.

Oh that makes me feel a little bit better! I am out of the country and the mail sometimes takes forever to arrive here in Mexico. Maybe I will call on Monday and see what the automated system says about my case status. Thanks for the heads up! :)
