Feeling frustrated today. It has been 189 days at USCIS. I did the SR. I emailed TSC and they said I had to do the SR first and then give them the info they requested from the SR. I bet I wont get approval til end of APRIL! that's when it will be 60 days. UGHHHHH :protest::crying::clock::clock: :clock: :clock:

We opened a SR on March 20 as per their guideline, our file was out of normal processing times. Received an email Re: SR on March 28 which said below.

"You or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Thank you for contacting us about this case. According to our systems, action is pending on this application/petition and you should receive notice within thirty (30) days.

We hope this information is helpful to you."

I strongly encourage you to open a SR if you are NSC, It worked for us!

can you tell me what's an SR? and how is it suppose to be done and for what?

Hello fellow Sept filers,

We have our APPROVAL this morning - 31st March. Bobby, please add our update to the spreadsheet (our timeline is up-to-date) thank you!!

We are extremely relieved to have reached the end of such a frustrating wait, the last few weeks since our transfer have been particularly difficult! I'm not sure how we would have coped with this without you wonderful people at Visa Journey and the willingness of this community to share data, knowledge and support.

We have been following many of your threads and personal stories on here. There are many people who filed before us who are still waiting and we would like you to know that we are thinking of you and would have willingly held the door open for you to go before us if we could.

Hang tough everyone and know that perfect strangers on here both know what you are going through and care about your journey (as much as strangers can!).

Come on September, let's see that approval ratio keep going up!

I-130 will follow along, just a bit more slowly. If you want to try to pursue the K3, don't do anything on the I-130 -- don't pay the bills for it at NVC, don't submit forms, etc. NVC or the consulate may still close out your K3 at any time if they realize you're on track for the CR1/IR1. They do initially assign priority to the K3, however, so it'll get a case number first and possibly be forwarded on through NVC. That gives you a chance to go for it. There are a couple of people on the NVC thread trying to push through the K3 right now, and they're basically trying to sneak it through because standard policy is to close it out.

If you are at NSC, then you should open a Service Request on your case by either calling them or uscis.org. Currently they are showing 5 month processing time for NSC that puts all of us out side of normal processing time period. This helped me I believe. I opened a Service request on March 20 and received response back from them on March 28. And Got approved yesterday.

Just wanted to update, I sent back the RFE I received with the new printed marriage certificate. It was received at their PO box yesterday. So hopefully we can get our approval soon!

Congrats to all the recent approvals.

To everyone with RFE's - may our delay be short and approvals be quick!

I am OH SO EXCITED about this! Congrats on getting your response so quickly to CSC. Ours won't arrive until Thursday or so (Serbia doesn't offer express mail....the entire country...) but I am looking forward to seeing how quickly they are. So far I'm happy with CSC. Did they send you an email informing you they received your package or did you have it tracked?

*On 08/01/14 I received a checklist via email and responded right away. Over a month later, on 09/09/14, I received the hard-copy in the mail. Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!
