How important is the CENOMAR to the interview? I read about it online but my fiancées instruction sheet doesn't mention bringing one.

Her instructions include:

Appointment letter

CEAC confirmation letter (not required for K visas)

Valid passport

2x2 photo with white background

She never has married so we were wo serving, too

Cenomar is very important, it is one of the 3 government issued certificates that will be asked by the Filipino pre screener before being Interview by the CO...the other Two are the NBI certificate, and the NSO issued birth certificate...

2nd half of the the letter of instructions in the Important Information:.... specifically mentions to read and follow all interview instructions for K1 visa on the applicants located on the Embassys website at http://Manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html.

It is important because it will certify that your fiancée have never been married and her name does not appear in National Indices of Marriages..thus legally free to enter into marriage with you.

The CENOMAR is listed on page 3 (of 9 pages) of the embassy instructions letter for the K-1 visa.

Joan said it is easy to get but it is faster in Manila (compared to Bulacan). You will need it for the CFO too.
