You know the thick outlined box on the bottom of the pages that says Applicant. Does me the US citizen (petitioner) fill that out? I'm unclear on the word applicant. Any quick help would be sweet. I hope to get this out tomorrow.

Thank You

Each of you fill out the G-325A, for your forms, you are the applicant so you put your name in the outlined box. For your fiance' forms, their name goes in the box and for the alien registration number I put "none". Make sure you send in all 4 of the G-325A's for each of you.

Uh oh... we put my name in the 'applicant' box on my G-325As, and my (USC) fiance's on his, after almost missing that bit out altogether (I'm so used to 'DO NOT MARK BELOW THE LINE!' etc on forms, I barely paid it any attention, and neither did he - oops)... hopefully that won't cause us a problem. Now that I think about it, of course the USC is the one who should be named on both forms. Ugh. :(

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

discoduck,

The applicant is the person who's information is on the particular G-325A.

featherB,

Back up a few thoughts and stop there.

And start paying attention, next time you may actually do something that is both wrong and serious.

...... I barely paid it any attention, and neither did he ...... Now that I think about it, of course the USC is the one who should be named on both forms. Ugh.

I think you did it right featherB atleast according to the people who replied here. His name on his G-325A and your name on your G-325A.

Um... I have been paying plenty of attention, although it may not appear so from off-the-cuff remarks like the above, that I type on here. I guess I should watch what I type to avoid coming across like some fluff-brained idiot.

Aaand now I can't edit my post so have just made myself look like a definite fluff-brained idiot. I think the problem is not so much 'paying attention' (I do far too much of that, mostly) but reading & posting on here at 4am when my comprehension skills may be not quite at their best, and I would be better off sleeping!

Don't worry about it featherB, we all ask many questions, sometimes extremely bizarre or strange ones. But that's what we are all here for, to learn from each other. Good luck on your journey!
