Very sorry to hear that. Did you try calling them or atleast setup an infopass. According to trackit site oaklandpark is not that slow.

Sorry missed this comment. Ive called them before, but they said they cant do anything till its out of normal processing time which I guess is 5 months. Someone on here said i should ask to an officer and I will give this a try tomorrow. I dont know if the officers are working today due to the holiday.

By the way i know now that the numbers you put earlier are not real numbers lol.

Hi Yes those numbers i put earlier they are not the real numbers those numbers were just examples. No body is going to put thier original numbers of their application.

Your NBC number on the appointment should be like this NBC*123456789

if you look on the bottom of the appointment letter theres another barcode and another number its should be like this NBC$123456333..... So remove $ sign from the numbers and letters and put a * , which will make it look like this NBC*123456333...

This theory worked for me and for

Whtevr

dont know for how many people it will work out.

You can try it use * instead of $ sign between the numbers.

Wow, this is true. I just checked my $ sign number and it was in deed showing that my application was scheduled for interview 7 days before the other number showed. But when you input the $ sign number, use * instead of the $ or it will show as invalid.

Thanks, wellmux!

Well, our case needs supervisor review so thats why it may be taking longer. I would contact them if I were you, it is NOT usual to wait for over a month for oath in Chicago as they schedule oath ceremonies a few times a week. Good luck!

So, I gave a call to the central USCIS office... no dice. They said, they reserve 120 days to complete N-400 application, since the interview moment (which I knew), and if in 90 days it still was no word, they start to accept requests. For us it translates into "wait until March 18th, then, if still nothing, make a request".

I am sorry to hear that, we are in the same boat.. we have a lawyer that we used to guide us through the whole process so he said he can send a request at the 90 day mark, which for us is around March 1st. It really makes me upset to see that we might have to wait for so long to get the Oath... looks like the other person from Chicago got his/her oath only a few days after the interview.

I will keep you updated OlegAndSveta as to how our case moves. Good luck to you!

Got a text and email update that I have been scheduled for the Oath ceremony and that the letter has been sent.dancin5hr.gif

Based on the LA ceremony schedule it will most likely be on 02/12 as 10000 people will be covered on that day. 10000 were covered on 01/14 as well.

OlegAndSveta, did you try checking your online status with the $ sign number that wellmux was talking about? Maybe there is an update there?

That is a thing, I wasn't able to find this second different number. It looks like I have only one, with *, not with $.

Look at the very bottom of the letter on the left side, under the USCIS Office Address.

The biometric appointment letter?

No, the receipt that they sent to you when you sent your N400 packet

It works and doesn't for me... Sveta found a number on the receipt, but it shows status as it was at the moment the letter was sent (Initial Review). It doesn't show the current status. Is it different in your case?

OlegAndSveta

Yes, looks like the number that I found on the receipt gets updated about 10 days before the other number.

Hmmm... not for me... for me the bottom number shows the last update from October 3rd (Initial Review status), and the top number shows the last update from the November 13th (Testing and Interview status). So, looks like for me the top number wins.
