Hi Everyone,

So my I-130 petition is now in initial review so I guess that means waiting months and months before I hear anything. What would you recommend I start doing? Should I work on the next forms after researching what they are? Or should I just wait and see what is asked for?

You will need to file an I-864 this the income portion but it will come after you find

out the status of your I-130. When you file the I-864 you will also need to send with

it 3 years of your income tax returns. Mine were 2010,2011,2012 along with your

1099 for each year showing the interest made for that year. You will also need

an employer letter on their letter head stating how long you have been with them

and also what your income is. you will also need to send 4 to 5 check stubs and

a copy of your birth certificate. I may have missed something but what I have told

you I know to be true because I have an immigration lawyer.

Follow it throughout the USCIS process find out whats going on so you have up to date information.

And yes as mentioned in the earlier post above you can have everything filled out prepared but the police reports.
