Hi VJers!

Need help filling-up I-134 and the Evidences of support needed for the USEM interview. I have some questions:

1.) I-134, Question #7: Is there any minimum amount in bank savings of fiance?

2.) I-134, Question #11: Should I check intend or do not intend? From here: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf , it says do not intend and just right "N/A K1 visa process ..." Is this correct? Just wondering maybe it's safer to say "intend"?

3.) I-134, Oath ...: What is the line after the first sentence for? Also, I'm a little confused with the following statement from the I-134 instruction: "...Form I-134 must be signed in your full name. (Note: Signing form I-134 is under penalty of perjury under U.S. Law.)...:

-Should my fiance print his full name and sign above it? or should he not sign at all?

4.) Evidences of support: Form W-2 - Is this the same as Pay stubs? Is there a minimum number of pay stubs needed?

Thanks in advance for the help! Much love to all! heart.gif

1) You do not need any money in the bank for the I-134. You need sufficient income, and if you do not have sufficient income, then assets can be used to make up the difference(at 5 times). If the income meets the requirement, then leave asset questions blank.

2) It is fine to follow the example form. If you feel safer doing so, then check intend.

3) If you are using the most recent edition of the I-134, you can see what it asks for when you mouse over the blank area in the oath section. It wants you to print the full name there to indicate you have the liabilities section of the instructions. Then, sign and date below where it asks.

4) A W-2 is not a pay stub. The W-2 is a tax document. It goes along with the 1040 form that is also required for Manila. I believe the instructions for Manila state what is required to go along with the I-134. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction_rtf2_rtf2_001.pdf

1 - as long as your income meets and/or exceeds the poverty guideline requirements you do not need to list other assets.

2- you can check INTENT if you want or not, doesn't matter much. I didn't check either, then in the space below I work K-1 VISA.

3- I left that "odd" space blank, then sign and date the document. (no printed name is asked for)

4- W-2 is part of the tax return and is required with the tax return by USEM. Pay stub is what your fiancé receives each pay period.

It is not just an 'odd' out of place line/space anymore. See the latest version of the form and mouse over the box there. It does ask for you to 'Enter Sponsor Full Name' to acknowledge that you have read the liabilities section of the form instructions. http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134.pdf
