Hey guys,

Well, today I finally got my case number from NVC. It was approved on July 22. Sat inside USCIS until the 21 of august. Received yesterday at NVC. When I called last night the guy said yes we got it today, but I have to wait 10-20 days for a case number.........what?????? I called back today and got it!

I went on the CEAC site and it asked for an invoice number, which I wasn't given. I called back NVC and got it.

Question.....do I have to keep calling NVC to find out when it has been sent/received USEM??

Must I wait for USEM to receive it before paying the visa fee?

Fiances embassy is in Barbados. He has to have medical there a couple days prior to interview date.

Will they schedule a date or do we?

I haven't found many people on this site that has to go though Barbados. I'm hoping I could get some advice. Please chime in......

Many thanks and to those of you waiting for that "8weeks" for a case number...... Don't!!! Call daily!!!!

Are you got the CASE # and IID # asign? or still waiting for 1? if you waiting keep call them 1 a week until you get your case number, usually it takes 2 weeks after NVC received the package.. then you can pay AOS and IV package fee and send your packages in.. with the bar code cover from pay portal on top of your package and making sure ea one seperated from other like AOS n IV

I already have the case number. What I'm asking is if I have to wait for the embassy to get the petition before I pay the visa fee. What is the AOS fee? And what bar code are you referring to? You mentioned sending in the package. Don't they have to send a package to the beneficiary first? Should I pay the fee and send the page with the bar code to my fiancé? I'm confused now...... Help

Going from hour time line, did you ever receive packet three? Did you receive the packets by email or regulate mail? Did you schedule the interview yourself? Wondering if the Caribbean embassies operate the same.

In Jamaica the embassy fee, $240, is paid at the interview. There's no invoice # for K1's as far as I know but I old be wrong hopefully someone from Grenada or with this knowledge will chime in.

Your questions:

1. No, did not receive packet3. Got all forms from us state department website.

2.When we emailed dS230 to embassy, we requested packets 3 & 4 be emailed to fiancé and we provided the email address, again. They emailed packet 4 and gave us medical history form and checklist for interview via email.

3. K1s are scheduled by the embassy in JA. They scheduled our interview and emailed packet 4-Interview letter.

Checkout the Grenada Consulate page and see if it differs for you guys. God speed.

Remember this site is for many different types of visas. All I can say is that in JA we pay Embassy fee at the embassy. It could differ for Grenada. Check out the the consulate page for Grenada, hopefully you guys have info in this. Perhaps call NVC tomorrow to verify.

Thanks for the info. Grenadians have to go to Barbados for the interview. We did email the choice of agent form. Will they send the packages to me as I am the agent or just the fee invoice? Lol.

If they email it that would be great. I can just forward it to him. If they mail it to me then I will have to mail it to him and that will take about 2 weeks. I just mailed him all the necessary documents that we filled out together on the phone. So, I'm assuming he will just need to mail them to Barbados after receiving the packets.

I guess we have to wait for the packets to know if the fee is to be paid on line or at the interview.

Thanks again. Best of luck to you both. Full speed ahead for us all!
