Co-sponsor needed items?

Hi guys,

So is there anything other than tax transcripts, w-2 form, pay stubs and the most recent tax return that can be sent as the co-sponsor's documents? I see people saying employment letter...will it hurt if I don't send one? I had them ask their HR and it was a no, because they can't put the exact info. I needed in there.

I also have a question about tax returns. If I filed the K1 visa paperwork mid-year for example, and used that current year's tax returns, what happens when I file again the next year and the other sponsor does, too during the wait time? Do we have to provide the updated, new tax returns at any point? Will the CO ask for them if they see it is past tax filing time for that new year? Like if we used the 2012 tax year, and during the wait we filed the 2013 tax year in Feb., then what?

You can use a letter from employer and/or most recent pay stubs to prove current income.

You seem to be a bit confused on the financials though. These are not included with the initial I-129F petition. You do not provide the I-134 and proof of income until after the I-129F has been approved and the foreign fiance(e) is going for their K-1 visa interview. When it is time for the interview, you would provide whichever tax return is your most recent.

OK, I see. Yes I am in the dark about some parts of the entire process still, especially financial aspects and having another sponsor...so nothing financial is provided until the interview time. Awesome. That does make things a bit easier on my end.
