Does Canada have a simpler approval process than other countries?

As I've read and read, it seems to be there are less hurdles that Canadian beneficiaries have to go through (such as a religious red flag, drug testing, past marriages, etc) than other countries. Is that really true?

Yes, it is easy for Canadian citizen. But drug test, crime have no exception.

Canada is a low fraud country so we don't have some of the same hurdles as other countries but red flags are red flags no matter what.

Having immigrated to Phoenix, AZ where there had been horrible real estate crash and high unemployment, from Calgary where things have been booming with low unemployment and much higher wages, we felt like USCIS saw clearly all on their own that we married and I moved south for love and no financial reasons ;-) I guess the fact Calgary winters are so darn cold could have been suspicious ;-)

Canadians have it pretty good mainly because there are few fraud cases. But if one has been previously married, one does have to show they are divorced, just like another country! 1 of the biggest benefits it doesnt cost you a pile of $$$$$ visa wise to visit!! I know here in Nicaragua, for a Nica to get a tourist visa just to visit I think it is $160--and if they get denied (which I believe a lot do) they are out that $160!!! And considering its the 2nd poorest country in the western Hemisphere, $160 is a huge amount of $$$ for many (but there are plenty of very $$$$ Nicas as well)

If you are 100% born in Canada, its normally a very easy process, just a lot of waiting!!

That too. Me and floods...was in Winnipeg for the flood (and blizzard too!) of the century...worked in Calgary for the "holy mother love a duck!!!" Flood of 2013....(live a little outside Calgary....)

Not allowed to live/work anywhere with rivers running through them. Or at least not leave. Red river flood was...a year before I moved from there...lets hope this one isn't a years wait too...bloody house.

I concur though, I think they give a little less scrutiny. I've heard of other people getting rfe's for things we get away with...
