Hello everyone!

I don't know if you remember me from last time, I had the issue of getting my F-1 visa while processing the documents to KCC as a result of a winning DV 2014. I got my F-1 visa approved so now I am back in the US and working on my graduate degree. Last time I contacted KCC they told me to check the visa bulletin starting august 15th. Right now that number for Africa is 81,200 and next month it will be 7,500. My number is 32,XXX so I was wondering what that meant? Am I falling into this months bulletin or not? Also the visa status for Africa for August and September shows "Current" on it. I really want to know so that in case it turns out positive, I can contact USCIS for an adjustment of status.

The numbers for DV 2014 only apply from October, so ignore the earlier ones -they are for DV2013 (which ends next month, Sept 2013). You'll see for DV numbers they give advance notice for the following month as well, which is why there is an October number. You'll want to start watching these numbers from now on and when Africa gets to your number or above you'll be current. If it follows a similar pattern to previous years, you'll probably be current around April or May - possibly March if you're lucky.
