Of course there are. And the answer is not "medicine and electrical sockets don't kill kids, kids kill kids." We recognize the danger and do something about it. And we're rational enough to know that "teach your kids better" is not the root cause.

You think ppl who own guns do not take care of things?

You think most of them have loaded weapon sitting on the table?

A full 30 percent of gun owners keep their weapons at the ready in an unlocked, loaded state.

Goes to show that just because some people CAN have guns, doesn't mean they should.

Well, I'm certain some do just like I'm certain some kids wouldn't stick their finger in an electrical socket (FTR I did......twice) But this isn't about them, its about the ones that don't. And yes if you've lived in this world you know that its always the irresponsible ones that ruin it for everyone.

Who is talking about staying on topic.... hmmm

I've been on one topic. Guns in the home being used for the wrong reasons rather than the right ones.

What if the power goes out and my neighbor comes over to ask me if I have any spare batteries for his flashlight?

We're at war Penny.

Do you think just coz you stuck your finger in an electrical socket, it should be made mandatory for every house to report how many sockets they have or should there be limit on how many sockets any house can have?

The power went out at our house for 8 hours last night due to a severe thunder storm.

We don't have guns in the home, so we locked ourselves in the bathroom and waited for the inevitable looting of our home.

Gun lovers love to compare guns to literally everything. It's a shame the comparisons never make sense.
