Hi,

I am filling out my i-130 and I wanted to double check what to write for q22. It asks which USCIS office I will apply at for my AOS. I am assuming this means which local office I would like to pick. Which matters for me because of processing times and also that is where I will have my interview(I am also applying for i-485 together). So is this my choice? could I pick out of state? the office that https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=LO suggests takes longer for me to get to than another one. I really appreciate any help.

no, you cannot pick

it's in the city and state where you reside. the local office in your city or nearest one where you reside

they have your address, so in question 22 you put the same city and state that you wrote in your address.

As I recall, the instructions tell you where you will file. Did you read the instructions? You should at the very least read the instructions for the form before filling it out.

I looked through the i-130 instructions but couldn't find anything about this. My city doesn't have an office, so I should put the closest city, right?

he's not asking where to file, but how to answer Q22 on the i130 form, to provide city and state where one will have the interview.

if you are going through consular processing, you put city and country, if you are AOS in the US, then you provide your local city and state office or closest.

I believe you should still put your city and state where you live and they know what office you will be interviewing at, they will send you the letter with the address of the office that corresponds to your city.

I'm not 100% sure
