CASE NUMBER

i have a question about the case number,our petition was approved on july 18,thats when we got our NOA2,

we have gathered all the information we need and we have filled the ds forms,my fiance sent the forms and i will be picking them up on monday,he used DHL,

now we have been trying to print out the MRV deposit slip from the CSC site(those dealing with the NAIROBI CONSULATE) are familiar with this,and they are asking for a CASE NUMBER,now my question is,

my fiance,keeps insisting that the CASE NUMBER IS THE THE SAME AS THE ONE THAT WE WERE GIVEN INITIALLY WHEN FILLING THE PETION,

i told him that the case numbers are different and the case number that we need at this stage we will be given by the NAIROBY EMBASSY,i called and it seems our documents have not been recieved by the Embassy yet,and the lady i talked to,told me that we will be notified when our documenys arrive and we will be given a CASE NUMBER!,but then my fiance still doesnt agree on that!tried to explain but seems my explanation is not good enough! #FRUSTRATED#

NOA1 has the receipt number after filing the petition. NOA2 is when the USCIs sends the papers toNVC and the NVC should give you the case number. Receipt number and Case number are different

its hard trying to explain stuff,when you are wrong already according to your significant half

Call the NVC to get your case number. They will be able to give it to you without having to wait for it to arrive at your consulate.

Seems he's quite hardheaded............ reminds me a whole lot about my EX tbh!

the number is different from the one you got roiginally and in most cases it will always start with "NRB" standing for Nairobi embassy so just sensitize him your money may be placed in a wrong place.
