K1 Visa Fees?

My fiance and I will be sending in our petition VERY soon and I wanted some clarity on the Visa fees. For the K1 petition, I keep seeing an amount of 340 dollars but on this website http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1263.html#perm I see the fee for the K1 visa is 240 dollars. Which is correct? Thank you so much for any input!

First fee is 340 dollar with I-129F for USCIS to process your paperwork. Later, they will ask you to pay 240 for the visa somewhere around your interview.

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Married on the 13th of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

Received GC on 4/10/2015.

The second is the visa processing fee of $240, paid later when applying for the K-1 visa.

After you are in the US and married, you will have a fee of $1070 to adjust status, and approx. 2 years later, a fee of $590 to file to remove conditions on your 2 year green card. After that is filing for citizenship, if you so choose. That fee is currently $680.

iam waiting for my interview date as well, n they have sent me an email n they have asked me for to pay them $350, at the time of interview......................so how much will i pay them?

Thank you everyone. I have one more question (for now) smile.png Did you make the money order out to USCIS or U.S. Department Of Homeland Security? I read you can do either but, I wanted to see which one is best. I don't want anything sent back because it was wrong. Thanks so much!!

It will be $240

i got email from my lawyer that i need to pay $350 to standard chartered bank or permata bank, but i know from my friend we need to pay 240$ to us embassy in jakarta when we have interview...which one is correct?

What i know is payment to those banks is for the tourist visa. Your lawyer is wrong. You're the beneficiary, right? You will receive the first email from embassy (that's the packet 3), you'll read the explanation in the email that the payment will be on the interview day cash and in Rupiah. Then you'll have the same explanation on the second email (that's the appointment letter). The first email will state $350 but the second email will state $240, so you'll pay exactly what the latest email says.

I am really confused, in my email they have written very clear that the fees is $350 ? So from we can get the rite picture, if fees is $240 then why they have mentioned $350 I'm email, plz help me

i didnt get the packet 3 yet, but my lawyer already send for this type of payment..

embassy will send me 2 emails in the same time or have different day?

You'll know it when you receive the appointment letter because it stated there that the fee is $240. It's not a problem though. They lower it not increase the fee ;)
