so to my knowledge our application is being done through TSC. BUT I have read that the TSC don't do k1 visa apps confused can someone help

all petitions go through Texas lockbox then get sent to the appropriate service centre, either VSC or CSC. However VSC are backlogged quite far at the minute so most petitions are being sent to Texas Service Centre (TSC) hence why your receipt code starts with SRC. Texas ARE processing the backlogged petitions from VSC only, this is a good sign...

Right thanks a lot Alexndillion :)

Just the Internet confuses me. Cause I was looking and there was so much stuff saying that Texas don't do the k1 but clearly they are. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I received my NOA1 from the VSC on 4/2/2013. I received notification that our I129F was sent to the TSC on or about 7/10/2013. I received email notification that our application was approved on 7/29/2013. I expect the NOA2 tomorrow or the next day. My visa agent said it takes about 2 weeks from the email notification.

I would not worry about it being sent to the TSC. I received approval very quickly after it was sent to the TSC.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves petition distribution. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

None of the service centers do K-1 visa applications. They adjudicate the I-129F petitions. The foreign fiance(e) applies for a K-1 visa at their county's designated US embassy after the I-129F petition has been approved.

The TSC had not processed I-129F petitions for years. It used to be just the VSC or the CSC up until a few months ago. The backlog was so bad at the VSC, they decided to begin processing some at the TSC to help get the petitions that had been sitting there for months and months finally adjudicated. Many were transferred from the VSC to the TSC and people began getting their I-129F petitions processed.

I have been wondering if they would eventually start to send some of the petitions directly to the TSC from the Dallas Lockbox intake facility, and since your NOA1 came with a receipt number beginning with SRC, then I have my answer.

Hello we just started this process and have NOA1 dated Aug 1, 2013, and are being processed at TSC. We were under an impression originally we could hope to be married in April 2014 but now we think it will take longer after everything we've read. I guess that we can't make concrete plans until later on. How long is TSC taking now to approve I129F petitions? Good luck to all!
