K1 Visa / AP @ Kingston Embassy

What is the longest anyone has been in AP @ the Kingston Embassy? And has anyone been approved At the embassy then denied on the DOS website?

My mother had her interview on April 8th and we are still waiting. I have emailed the embassy on numerous occassions and they have given me the same BS lines which I am assuming is the standard email they send out to everyone. In a nutshell all they say is that she is undergoing "temporary administrative processing" and that they will issue the visa as soon as they are done. It's been 4 months. The status on the CEAC website has been the same "READY" Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section...The case created date is 9/12/2012 and everytime they respond to my email the status updated date change but the status remains the same "READY". I only knew that she was in AP because in one of their emails they said so...the CEAC status has never changed to reflect this.

I called DOS and they said that it's with the embassy in Jamaica and that everything is approved but the documents are being reviewed.

Not sure how long you have been waiting but it is very fustrating...but hang it there.

Thanx for your response. My fiancé had his interview in July. I'm so sorry you're been waiting So long. I wonder how often they work on cases in AP? This is all just crazy to me...

My fiance had his interview 5/28 and we still have not received our visa. Our CEAC status has remained "ready". Recently our CEAC status changed from immigrant visa to non-immigrant visa and our CEAC creation date changed from the date our case number was assigned to the date our case was changed to non-immigrant. I called DOS today and was told case goes through another review when transferred to non-immigrant. We have been waiting over 10 weeks and counting. I have been on this site the past couple of months pretty much daily and its all random. Many have been in and out of AP, usually within 5-6 weeks.

I was wanting to know too,my step daughter had her interview on 7\30\13 and they gave her passport back and also a2221g form requesting joint sponsor's status and 2013 w-2.They also request proof of cohabitation I send in all requested documents which thwy receive and no one at dos can tell mewhen my daughter will be approve

I also received the form requesting additional information which I submitted. They received it the 9th of July and put it in the system on the 19th. AP can last from 6 months to a year... some applicants move faster than others. Lets just hang in there...

My husbands interview was on June 14th they requested more info with the 221g but kept his passport. The paper was submitted on the 20th of June that was requested. The status on CEAC updated every week for the most part on a Tuesday. The week his Visa was issued the status didn't update until Thursday but it still said ready then the next day on Friday changed to issued on July 30th. His status never said AP but when I called the DOS they said it was in AP. By the time the embassy responded to my last message my husband was already in the US and they were saying (The applicant package was sent out on July 29 and he will be contacted in due course). Good luck hopefully you will soon be finished

U have to keep on emailing them,like every day.my husband had his interview march 25,they ask for joint sponsers they recieved it on april 2nd took his passport but tell him that they need the joint sponser husband info all so bcz they file tax 2gather,they recieved it april 4th, and i email them every day telling them my problem,my birthday was on mothers day and i have a daughter,so i told them how special it wld be for him to be here with us,i also tell them if he is not gonna get it before may 12 let me knw so i can buy my ticket to go dwn and see him,and withing ten mins i recieve a call from my husband saying that the embassy call him and say the gonna print his visa that same day,and he can come to the embassy and pick it up,he dont have to wait for dhl ,,the officer also go on telling him hw mch emails i send daily and hw mch mi really want him beside me,so good luck!! Really think Kgn is dotting all *I* crossing all *t* since the scandal a few months ago,

I think ppl have being shuffled around and being very careful with last review in the

embassy B4 visa is issued.....cant blame them totally if they under scrutinity....some

make things bad for others....I still say if your $hyt right eventually you'll be sorted out
