CEAC Status Check- What does this mean?

Today I checked my status on CEAC and our case creation date and status date were 8/7/2013. Before today our creation date was 3/8/2013 and only the status date changed. Also, under the dates the language changed to "your case is open and ready for interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days. If no interview was required, please check back in two business days for the status of your application."

Could this mean we are closer to being issued? I know I shouldn't set myself up, but seeing this makes me think our case is now considered non-immigrant. When I called DOS of course visa splst was vague but at the end commented it is going to be a good journey.

Anyone seen this happen with their K1? Especially those who were placed on AP.

Not too many people would tell you this but since i have had a multi experience with it i could give you an idea, They do that 2 days before issuing your visa, I could say Congratulations in advance..do not get your hopes up tho..but that has happened twice and the 2 times it was issued after putting it ready after being in AP ..am really happy for you..wish me a fast visa issuance too

Don't be bothered .Ours said "ready" all last week then "Administrative Processing " this morning ....i almost fainted but then two hours later ...voila ......it was "issued". Yours is coming soon.

Yes. I'll be watching CEAC like a hawk. I know not to expect too much because I never know. This part of the process is so ambiguous its really difficult to get answers. Without the advise of everyone here, I'd be broke and screwed. Is your timeline incomplete or you really have been waiting since 2010?

Its incomplete, But to satisfy your curiosity i have been denied the first time i applied and it was a k3 visa..i got denied at USCIS stage but then i applied again after a year + and got approved Elhamdullah ( Thanks to Allah). and now am in AP ..There you got a quick peek

I was in administrative processing for 5 weeks after my interview and the same thing happened to me where my creation date changed to July 1st.....I think this happened because after the interview your case is "created" at the embassy level. I did not get changed to administrative processing until July 29th then on the 31st ot was issued my fiancé just picked up package from DHL yesterday. Good luck.

Yes, it has been quite frustrating seeing so many issued after us. I have no idea what took so long especially since we were not missing any documents. My fiance did travel before out of Jamaica, but its wasn't to the US. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the lengthy AP. I hope we hear good new soon.

I'm not sure what the process is in Jamaica. I can say for sure with all the monitoring and documenting I've been doing there is no consistency. I called dpt of state on Friday and I was told our status was changed from immigrant to non-immigrant. This would be consistent with the language stated at the bottom of the pop box on CEAC.Then yesterday case create date changed. Personally I think it may have to do with once the CO determines eligibility, some sooner than others.

K1 Fiance Visa APPROVED on Friday June 27, 2014

but needed a few minor details (paperwork) So my status was in Administration processing from Interview June 27, 2014...we needed an original signature which I fed X to Jamaica when I returned home on Monday July 9, 2014.

It finally went into Ready on all 4 updates last week Thursday July 10 (why 4 updates?)

Then on July 11 (Friday) 1 of the 4 status updated to the date of July 11.

All have been in "Ready" .......

(1) July 10 "non immigrant"

(3) July 11 "immigrant"

can someone verify what the updates are....assuming it will end up HAPPY

US Embassy Jamaica emails me on July 11, 2014:

Good Day.

We have received all the documents needed for your case to finish processing.

We are now in the final stage of processing and issuing of this Visa.
