Wonder which 6 countries

ppl who intent to get one entry by any means necessary

will have complete family clan or villages put up the bond

money, knowing they'll just treat it as non-refundable to

get in

I often wonder if ppl could come and go & it was not so hard

to qualify....would it make a difference in them going home? I

mean U will have those who will stay nut many stay because it

could be a one time chance . Visa not renewed etc

I don't think a bond will stem the tide...they will find the

money and be here....I'd say it would work better if the legal

person they are visiting is required to go in & receive them with

their copy of their status, BC, place they live & work & sign an

affidavit being responsible for the visitors visit & departure.

It's hardly prejudice, It's the countries where the most people overstay their Visa's costing the UK millions yearly in extra medical costs and as illegals they don't pay taxes and once these people get here it's virtually impossible to make them leave! UK is only a small island you know....

In all honesty and with a bit of perspective and sense of history, the monies that you mention are a mere drop in the ocean compared to the mountains of treasure the UK robbed and extracted from said countries over a few centuries... And, ironically, it was virtually impossible to make THEM leave back in the day....

We have but one planet here to inhabit, and we desperately need to learn to get along! Compassion and perspective never hurt anyone...

Best observed in one's home country, really. No need to get a tourist visa to experience any other compassion or gain a new perspectve.

Well, i wouldn't care really - if it was a requirement for me to do, i'd set this money aside for this, if i really wanted to go. We have to get way more visas than Europeans and the US citizens here. And some countries make us submit fingerprints and such, which is already quite annoying if you know what i mean, but we do it.

Take my finger prints all you want to. All 10 of them and they can have my toe prints too. It isn't comparable to an extra $ 4600 after

saving money for the ticket, the accommodation, food etc....I would never want to visit and come up with $10 000 to see the UK ...laughter...

This insanity is a deterrent for third world visitors who want to see their kids and grand kids, sight see, spend money there, scope out potential business for the future etc....this was set up to discourage visitors unless they are the "brightest and best" read the rich and wealthy ....what else is new ?

I imagine there are quite a few people on here who would be happy to be able to pay a bond for a visitor's visa to come and visit their spouse or fiance in the US. Or to have their parents come and visit them for their wedding etc.

Especially if at the moment the alternative is that it's almost impossible for them to get a tourist visa.

This 'scheme' does not guarantee that now anyone will be automatically approved. Applicants will still be denied. Perhaps the greed for

their sacks of money and life savings will even the balance out a bit and for those few and far between it would be an opportunity.

The entire countries. Cameron wants to extend this to other visa types eventually.
