Hello all!

I have a question regarding filling Form I-134, Affidavit of Support for my Lebanese fiancée.

I contacted the US embassy in Beirut yesterday to ascertain that I can have a sponsor fill Form I-134 in place of myself. This is because I am a full-time student and currently have no source of income. It turns out that another person can indeed sponsor my fiancee for me, but that I as the petitioner must fill out the form as well regardless of my financial situation.

That being the case, I'd like to ask how I can go about filling in the form being that I have no source of income. Should I fill in the form and state that I have no income and assets but pledge to sponsor my fiancée financially (because I plan to begin working a bit to help support her beginning this school year)? Is putting $0 for the values of my income and investments, etc. risky for my case? Or will the fact that I have a very willing and exceedingly qualified cosponsor nullify that concern completely?

Thank you for any answers in advance!

Thank you for your response!

I have a second question, if that's alright. I'd like to know if I need to make copies of the forms I'm sending with my fiancee to the embassy. The forms are as follows:

DS-156

DS-156K

DS-230

I-134

Will my fiancee be required to carry a copy of any/all of these forms for her interview? Thanks again!

Looks like you bring the documents to the interview, yes. Also, the fee listed on the consulate site states $350, but it has not been $350 for a couple years now. The visa processing fee is $240.
