Excellent question Frannyglass! I was wondering that myself. Like Pamala said, on the EAD it will be the one you took at the biometrics appt. I'm not so certain about the green card. Can someone confirm this? I'm going to be a little disappointed if they don't use the photo I sent because I got all dolled up for that one and I was not prepared to take a photo on the day of my biometrics appointment.

To those who received their EADs and/or green card, did they use the passport photo sent with the application or the one they took during biometrics?

the one they took on the biometrics

got my SSN today havent got card yet. Just got a print out .

DId GED orientation today too just in time to use my SSNdancin5hr.gif

Hi, we had our Interview today. The officer was so cool and only asked a few questions like our names, Date of birth..... She asked for some document showing our names and no more, that's all. When we got out I found she took my I-94 and at the interview the IO gave us a notice saying: "Your case is being held for review........ otherwise, a final decision will be mailed once your case is completed".

I want to know if the fact of taking the I-94 from my passport is a good signal.

*our case online is still on "testing and interview" (I-845)

*I-130 Initial review.

thanks.

08/01/2013 (1 day) - USCIS received my application

08/12/2013 (12 days)- I received Biometrics appointment notice via mail

08/29/2013 (29 days)- Biometrics Walk-in

09/05/2013 (37 days)- Received online notifications of I-485 application changed to Testing & Interview

09/25/2013 (57 days)- AED in production

10/07/2013 (68 days)- AED in my hands

10/11/2013 (72 days) received Interview date on Nov 18 2013.

Exactly! I took time for my pasport photos and they look great. And we had to send 7 of them or something. On biometrics day I wasn't prepared, didn't expect a photo taken so it looks terrible...

My GC had my biometric photo on it. The need for so many passport photos is truly outdated and a waste of money, but that will take a little while to get fixed. Best of luck everybody. We are still awaiting our interview date.

Same here Rj4. My interview was on 7th November. Yes, the IO took the I-94 off from the passport and gave a letter saying "Awaiting for the I 130 receipt at NVC" and the status is still "Testing & Interview". I am hearing there are many in this thread on the same situation. My I 130 was approved on Aug' 15 and my RD was Aug' 13, so, I sent the approved copies of I 130 as 'Supplemental' to USCIS and still they haven't received the receipt. I don't understand what's going on.

Let's hope for the best and wishing you all to get the approval sooner. Please keep posted.

We had our interview this morning at 9:45 at the Sacramento USCIS office and were approved on the spot after some very tough questioning for half an hour. We were accompanied by our lawyer and I was really getting worried that IOS was not going to approve us as he kept hammering us with repetitive questions for half the interview about our intent when my husband entered the US 7 years ago. He asked us how we met and the timeline of my trips to Costa Rica and why my husband overstayed his business visa. He reviewed in detail the visa interview at the US Embassy in Costa Rica from over 7 years ago and verified that I was the person accompanying my husband to that interview. He was starting to ask for verification about my corporation in Costa Rica then noticed that all the verifications were on file from the visa interview 7 years ago. He asked both of us about 5 times in different ways the intent when my husband came to US. After about 15 minutes of hammering away at us on those questions he switched to asking us questions about accounts in common and checking out checking books which showed we were living at the same address since early 2007 and my husband had even made payments for furniture for the house from the checking account he opened in February 2007 at our common address. He looked at the financial records a little and then asked for photos. We showed him photos from the time we met in person in May 2006 until our recent Blessing of our Civil Marriage that we celebrated like a large wedding with 170 guests last Monday on the 7th anniversary of my husband arriving in the US. When then offered to provide more documentation and he said that's enough to clearly establish our relationship and all he has to do is check the background check and will approve the AOS this afternoon. He kept about 15 of our original photos, many from when we first met and photos of us together with friends and family over the past 7 years, and a couple of our photos from the wedding. One of the photos iI provided s where we are kissing during the Blessing Ceremony. Yes, we are really gay. :)

As we were leaving the office, my husband nearly fainted and fell against the wall in relief that it was over. The lawyer told us that she thought that she was going to have to intervene and start asking the IOS why he was asking so many questions about something that already been established with the granting of the business visa back in 2007. Then when he turned to the photos and quickly said he was going to approve the application, she realized that what he was doing was shoring up our application so that two years from now there would be no unanswered questions for the next IOS to ask that could potentially cause us problems down the road. Either way, we went through the trial by fire over intent and overstaying the visa and came out the other side successfully. Now, I can buy my husband his plane ticket to go back to visit his family in Costa Rica for the first time in 7 years!

*I-130 Initial review.

thanks.

Hi, our situation is exactly the same as yours. I was so nervous during the interview, but the IO didnt ask anything at all...Just "No" questions and for how long we have been married...also took all our copies (health, life insurance, lease, pics etc), no personal questions at all. and said he would approve us on the spot if not 130 form that is missing from our file.. it was Nov.12. Since then online is all the same: "Initial review for i-130" and "testing and interview for 485"...

I wonder why its happening to quite a lot of people recently..Or was it always like that..
