I was going to make my own ornaments, bought wooden ornaments and paints and everything, and got done about 12 of them. Then I went to Pier1 (yes I know Im bad)... and decided I wanted the gold-bronze look for my tree... so I packed all the handmade ones, which I'll put next year... (I also like to change the look every year)...

Here's my tree

PD: I also got some gold and bronze balls from walmart...

You want my wooden hand painted ornaments?? Ana's Designs (that means that I painted them myself) they are cute, I just went crazy with the brass, copper and gold ornaments...

I still like my wooden ornaments, I just think I'll use the wooden ones when we have a baby, and the baby wants to grab the things on the tree... that way I wont cry when the baby breaks a ball ... I mean... on the tree... I mean... AN ORNAMENT!!...

They do all look great! I'll get a pic of ours up here soon too. We did end up doing it the other night, even though I wasn't sure we were going to...it looks nice! :) I love the look when people do themes...certain colors,etc...(I love the bronze/gold thing!!) but I can't seem to help myself with the colored lights and odd mix of ornaments, candy canes, etc. every year...it's jumbled, but it looks good when it's done! :P M.

If you have an Ikea and you can bear getting in there they have boxes of 12 or 15 baubles for $2 or $3. They also have tons of Christmas decorations, wrapping paper, and ornaments at reasonable prices. Also, sometimes I make sugar cookies or salt dough into ornaments, string popcorn, collect pine cones (not available falling from trees in Puerto Rico I assume). Another thing I do that makes a great decoration is make popcorn balls and add some green food coloring and make into cone shapes for trees. Add mini M&Ms as ornaments and sit them on a bed of shredded coconut (you can get coconut from dollar stores for $1) and just give them a little sprinkle of powdered sugar. I will put up my recipe for these on Thursday as it's at home and I won't be there til tomorrow night.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.
