When can my fiancée begin working in the US?

Hi I was reading and it seems if I'm not mistaken she can only start applying for work after we get married and we file an adjustment of status? Can anyone verify?

Technically they can apply for an EAD before marriage and filing for AOS, however that is a huge waste of $380. The EAD would only be valid for as long as their I-94 is, which is about the same amount of time as it takes to receive it. Which means there would not really be time to use it anyway. After you marry, file for AOS as soon as you get back your certified marriage certificate from the court. You will then file for EAD and AP, and the fees for those forms will be waived when filing with the I-485.
