RFE - :( they are asking for things I sent!!

Hello VJ members, you guys have become a great support during this process...

I know this have been ask before, yet, now that its me, I FORGOT EVERYTHING ;-)

USCIS is asking me for Beneficiary and Petitioner letter of intent of marry. We sent that already. Why they ask again??

Should I sent something more??

I understand the I-129f process should be done within 6 months. My I129F will be 6 months old on August 4. I know a VJ friend who's RFE took more that 50 days....What happen in this case, what should I do??

I've been feeling hopeless this past few days, but my fiancé came to visit me, we got out of the country and went to Santo Domingo to visit friends, in our way in, the immigration officer ask us what was our relationship and I said openly: he is my fiancé. He said: Ok, welcome to Puerto Rico!

Having him here, just makes things easier and we will comply with the RFE this days that he is home. Thank you friends!

Something must have been wrong with what you sent. Were there two letters, one each signed by petitioner and beneficiary? Were the signatures original?

As for the time, your petition would be approved now if your package had been complete. This RFE was the "approval time" but they could not approve it for missing paperwork, so they send RFE instead. Now the normal timeline does not apply to you because this was your adjudication in the right time. But, usually the response after RFE is short.

I'm guessing one of five things.

1. The letter you sent was a joint letter - they need a separate one from EACH of you.

2. Either letter was a photocopy rather than the original.

3. Either letter wasn't signed.

4. Either letter wasn't dated.

5. They missed it.

We just got an RFE for something we also sent (we are filing for adjustment of status). I believe either maybe they couldn't read it, or lost it. THat's what i'm hoping!

When we got an RFE for our k1 visa, it was within a month that we had our interview. Pretty much once you send them what they want, they `finish`your case and then you can go for your interview and get married!
