Hi all,

I'm preparing to send my fiancee the documents required after we receive NOA2. I have almost everything ready based on the VJ guide, but I'm stuck on this one:

Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

What exactly does that mean? Do I need to send my original certificate of naturalization? She already has a copy of it from the copy of the I-129F package I gave her, and copies of all the evidence we submitted with the I-129F petition.

Thanks!

If you submitted a photocopy of any certificate, document, boarding pass, photo, receipt etc you need to bring the original copy to the interview with her. Original certificate of naturalization idk if i would trust sending that via mail. If there is no way to deliver it yourself in person I would make sure she has a color copy (if the original is in anything but black and white)

Go to your embassy site. See what they require. Some people send way too much info that is not even considered. Originals like boarding passes, receipts etc will be ok. Be carefull with important docs. Get official copies of docs like bith certificate, divorce certificate, etc. On financials, I would scan everything and email to your fiancé. Be careful sending W2s, income tax returns, Bank accounts.by mail. Do not open yourself to identity thief . Again, look at what the embassy requires.

My parents are actually going to be visiting Malaysia (it's also our home country) so they'll be transporting the documents for me, so I'm not terribly concerned about the mail thing. I tried looking on the Malaysia embassy website but I wasn't able to find anything on what they require...anybody know what the Malaysia embassy looks for specifically?

"The applicant is responsible to bring all required original documents to the interview, except for documents already submitted to the NVC. Failure to bring all required original documents to the interview may cause delay or denial of the visa."

(sources: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3741.html)

which mean you gotto send your fiancee those original documents which you have not submit to NVC earlier. if you did sent all compulsory original documents to NVC then that's fine, your fiancee will just need to bring photocopies for interview will do.

hope this help..
