We just received our case number and are now starting on the rest of the information we need to move our process forward.

I am hearing a few things about a "NBI Clearance" that is also needed.

I cannot seem to nail down any clear information about that and I am told it is not the same as the "Police Clearance" could someone point me in the right direction for this....

Thanks so much for any help you can throw at me....I thought I had this figured out....ugggg !!!

Sincerely,

cjmc

It is the NBI office not the NSO where u will get your NBI clearance with purpose travel to USA or visa USA...it is one of the docs needed for interview...get 3 copies but only one is required, 2 keep it for future references though its valid for 1 year...it costs 115 php....better get it earlier for if there is a hit (or same name with other person) it might take a month before you will get the original clearance.

My fiancée just returned from the NBI and she had to get clearances for her and her children. The children got theirs but she had a hit on her record due to her common name. NBI said 2-3 weeks to sort through it and with no problems should have her clearance soon. But allow time.

My Fiancee went to the regional office in Baguio to make the request, then had to wait 3 weeks before going back for the clearance certificate. I believe there's another location in Pampanga, for those in Central Luzon.

go to NSO to get an NBI/Police Clearance and it should be for travel purpose goodluck!!!

What made you think that NBI/Police Clearance is issued at NSO?..

NSO is for civil docs like Birth, Marriage, Death and Cenomar.

NBI and Police Clearances are even issued at different government offices..idea9dv.gif

NBI for "Travel Abroad" is required for the interview. Link in the embassy instructions letter.

Police Certificate is required from any other country you have lived in for 6 months or more from the age of 16 and older.

Local police clearance/certificate is not asked for.
