Affidavit of Support Question

Hi everyone,

I had a question about the affidavit of support. I started my current job at the end of 2012 and only made around $8,000. When my fiance brings a copy of my W2 to the interview at the embassy, is this going to be a problem? I have a letter from my boss stating when I started work, how much I make annually, and that my position is permanent. If this isn't okay, is there another option? I am not looking to have a co-sponsor for this so that wouldn't be an option.

Thanks in advance for any answers or advice! :)

If your current income meets the requirement, then there should be no need for a co-sponsor. The letter from your employer and/or most recent pay stub(s) prove the current annual income you list on the I-134.
