Beneficiary wants to quit job, hurts chances for approval?

I (USC) live with my husband in Costa Rica. We're hoping to get approved and move to the USA by the end of the year and my husband needs to finish his university degree. Right now he's feeling really stressed as he's working full time (50 hours a week) and going to school part time. We both think it would be best for him to quit his job and finish his classes without the extra stress. He's worried that him quitting his job will affect the chances of visa approval. I told him "no way" that the visa should be based on our relationship, not his job. He's still not convinced. I mean it's not even like his paycheck will help go towards proving 125% poverty! He's worked at his current job for over 10 years, which I think more than proves he's employable.

Can someone please let me know if I'm right here? Thanks!

April 14: Real checklist for AOS (saying tax number was incorrect when it wasn't)
April 30: Another AOS checklist, for proof of employment (which was already sent)
May 1: Checklist for IV- certified marriage certificate (even though I sent a certified one originally)
July 1: INTERVIEW!!! - APPROVED!
July 16: POE through Miami
July 22: SSN card in the mail
August 30, 2014: Green card arrives in the mail!!!
 
ROC: 366 days
April 27, 2016: Sent 300 page ROC packet to VSC via overnight mail
May 16: Check shown as charged online, received NOA 1 dated April 29
June 20, 2016- Biometrics
April 28, 2017: Approval
May 4, 2017: Approval letter arrived
May 15, 2017: GC arrives in mail
 
N-400: 190 days
May 8: Sent packet to Dallas Lockbox
May 12: NOA 1, Credit card charged
June 7: Biometrics
June 16: "In line"
Oct 2: Interview letter arrives (online status still says ''in line'')
Oct 31: Interview- Approved!
Nov 13: Oath ceremony!  Applied for passport & registered to vote on site.

You win you are right. let hubby know him working doesn't mean anything to immigration. Affidavit of Support is based on your income and if you don't make enough you get a sponsor.

tell him he is free to concentrate on school no baring on interview or approval.

Sorry I don't mean to be a thread high-jacker, but if that's the case, can I just ask why the beneficiary has to fill out their 10-year job history on the DS-230? Is that just for background check purposes?

USCIS (239 days):

04.18.2013 - NOA1

12.13.2013 - NOA2 via email; I-130 approved. Shipped to NVC

NVC (274 days):

12.30.2013 - Arrived at NVC

01.27.2014 - Received case no. & IIN

02.07.2014 - Completed & submitted DS-261 form online

02.13.2014 - Paid AOS bill

02.18.2014 - AOS showing as 'paid'

03.18.2014 - Invoiced for IV bill (finally!)

03.19.2014 - Made payment for IV bill

03.21.2014 - IV bill showing PAID

03.24.2014 - Completed DS-260 online

Same reason you have to fill out all your address from the age of 16.

They wanna know every place you been and everything you been doin'.

Ok thanks - I thought they wanted to see steady job history (I panicked as I'm a contractor and will definitely have to go onto an additional sheet for my 10 year history!)
