immigrant fee $165 and CFO experience

I am on K1 visa and planning to fly first week of July. Do I have to pay for the immigrant fee before flying or o can delay it?

I arrived like 6:30am and a lot were in line but I wala the 5th for the US. In my case it wasn't that bad. Just filled up forms, attended the seminar, was given one on one, 20minutes for the certificate and sticker. I wala only asked pictures of me and my fiance on the one on one. We only had one year age gap but were relatively young I guess so I was still asked questions like "do you think a year and 7months is enough to decide to get married?" Or "2hat if he doesn't marry you, what will you do?" Thankfully my answers satisfied her.

Again, please do give some inputs on whether I have to pay the immigrant fee before leaving the Philippines on a K1 visa. Thank you

K-1 visa chasers do not pay the 165 fee to obtain a greencard. That's for CR-1/2, IR-1/2/5 visa chasers.
