K1 visa interview - Mumbai

Hi All,

Today I am here with a new query and it’s regarding the engagement ring. I already read that in many cases the Consular Officer denied K1 visa, because of the feel that marriage already happened. So my query is that, if I wear my engagement ring at the time of interview, will that make any problem? Will that affect me adversely?

Please guide me on this…!!

an engagement ring is typically a diamond, so I don;t see where the problem would be. If anything he will see you ARE engaged. Correct? Does your engagement ring look like a wedding band?

Ours are not daimond ring... We both have our names in the ring... So I have my fiances name in the ring...

Hope u got me... Will that make any probs??

I think they will know that engagement ceremonies are common in India. I recommend being very clear that you are engaged and not married. In Delhi they asked my fiance, "how did you meet your wife?" He immediately corrected them that I am his fiance and not wife. For all other questions they referred to me as his fiance.
