Green card through asylum or Marriage ?

This is my first post but i have been an avid lurker.

anwyays, i have a current dilema right now.

Me: USC

wife: asylum 5 years.

Living Together for the past 5 years. +

Legally Married: 1 year and 8 months.

we have a son: 4 years old.

we are both of NJIT and Rutgers alumnies with good jobs. -

We want to travel outside the US very bad. every year we travel to different states since it is not required to have travel document papers. at least not yet. =) this year is Yosemite Park. super excited for that.

anyways,

We have the I-130 and I-485 ready with all documentation and supporting documents to apply for Green card through Marriage instead of her Asylum.

¿Q? Now, if we do that, and get aproved, does it mean ill have to also put in form i-751? we are a month away from the 90 day window to change that.

I dont want to shell out that money and can certainly wait the 2 years marriage and apply.

or,

should we apply through her asylum by herself. Her asylum was granted 5 years ago.

- The Window - we should have done that back then and she would have been eligable to apply for citizenship now =/. according to what i have read.

again, i want her to be able to apply for citizenship the fastest way possible.

green card through marriage or asylum. -

which is cheaper and all.

AP and EAD form filing fees are waived when submitted with an I-485.

We dont need those. She already has her EAD for a very long time now.
