. i need help with birth certificate.. my wife was born in kuwait. and when she was two they moved back to the philippines. my wife has a copy of her birth certificate but were not sure if its the original one. it also has translation. and its an old birthcertificate.. it has stamp on it thats says "seen at the philippine embassy kuwait" and was signed by a vice consul. how would i know if its the orignal copy?

anyone here that can help me?

yes sir.... it is green color,very hard paper, like a cartoon, one page, can be folded from the middle, with writings on both faces

Kuwait in the house, I don't know the answer to your question, will ask my husband. Than I will let you know but the poster most likely knows what he is telling you.

if there is a way to see it for sure i will help u, i suggest something better for you: Issue a birth certificate for your wife from her country (philippines I think) and use that one for your papers. anyone can issue a birth certificate from his country and it will show that the place of birth is Kuwait.

I'm not sure if it helps, but my husband's BC is handwritten in a little booklet with a few pages (like thick, white card stock paper) that has his birth information, but also the vaccination record on it. It is old now and the only one he has. He went to the Ministry of Health (I think it is?) in Kuwait, but couldn't get a new one because of something with his civil ID. We just got his original one translated and hoped it worked because we had no other choice. So far it has worked for us and the Embassy in Kuwait accepted it. That's all I can offer by way of anecdotal information. Good luck.

thanks guys for all ur reply... i submitted the one from the philippines but they required the one where she was born from. luckily her mom has the original birth cert.. hopfully it will all work out...
