What kind of evidence is sufficient? I have flight receipts and pictures of us together, do I need to include phone logs, skype calls etc or is that over kill?

Also, does it matter if we mail this in from Canada?

07/18/2013 - NOA1

07/19/2013 - Alien Number Change

Not sure about mailing it from Canada. Flight tickets is a must, scans of passport stamps don't hurt either. They are primary evidence. Some pictures and phone logs don't hurt as they are secondary evidence/proof of relationship.

Welcome to the forum.

:guides:

The documentary proof mentioned in the VJ Guides step-by-step K-1 visa guide have great examples. We had good fortune by including a balanced mixture of as many of the examples as possible:

Good luck.

The above posters are both correct. I just want to add my personal experience to this point.

When I filed in February, I included as evidence of meeting, the following:

1) Multiple sets of boarding passes from trips within the past two years

2) One picture of us together at from each of those trips with the date and location written on the back

3) Included in my cover letter a brief history of the steps of our relationship which included mentioning dates from each trip.

That is all we included. They did send me an RFE for divorce documents from my first marriage, but did not request any additional evidence of meeting in person.

Of course each individual adjudicator is going to like to see different things, so sending more than the minimum is not going to hurt your case any, but at this point all the I-129F petition requires is evidence that you met within the past 2 years.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide Also see what others have sent and not had issues. Review the items needed directly on USCIS also. It seems most of the China origin people used K1, we wished we could have gotten married and applied that way. Good Luck and Welcome.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
